Learn to Foil

Flow Foiling provides the only AMSA ( Australian Maritime Safety Authority) approved vessel in NSW to teach foiling from any water way in state. Based out of Newcastle or for large group bookings we can come to you.

After learning the hard (unsafe) way we realised there has to be a safer and easier way to this incredible new sport!

Our lessons are conducted by PWC with a minimum of two participants in rotation for minimum of 2.5 hours. We choose to teach with premium quality boards from Kalama Performance & Foils from Lift.

What is included:

  • Full fleet of Lift foil wings.
  • Sup or prone boards from Kalama.
  • Intercom helmet for protection & effortless communication
  • Pro Guard PFDs
  • Wild Sleds Rescue sled
  • All rescue & first aid equipment

All you need to bring is a wetsuit. If you would like to use your own equipment you are welcome to. We recommend you have surfing or water sports experience to give you a foiling pathway. If you have not we recommend booking our E-Foil session.

Pricing and Lesson types

First time foil or pump foil lesson

$250pp

For 90min (Min of two people, local area price). If you are solo, we can link you up with another solo rider or bring a mate along!

This lesson is best suited to first time foilers looking to start their journey the safest way possible or if you already foil and need to better your skills by having more time on foil this is the perfect way to nail the pump technique or sink starts for towing.

Prone or SUP Foil surf

After you have nailed the flat water tow session lets hit the waves together and put all that we learnt behind the ski into practice.

Downwind jetski assist

$450pp

With the sport of downwind foil becoming so popular there is no better way than to be coached side by side in the ocean, you can ride your own board/ foil or use our range of Kalama/ Lift.

Flat water pop up

$175pp

You can bring your own foil set up or choose from our range of Kalama barracuda/ E3 and Lift foils.

Session is 90 minute and you will gain paddle technique skills to learn the flat water paddle up, this will help in the surf but mainly for downwind.

E-Foil Session

$229pp

Experience the feeling of flying above water by the trigger at the end of your fingertips, have a blast around lake Macquarie with this 1:1 Efoil session.

This is a fantastic way to experience the flight feeling and could be the start of your foiling journey.

Lessons are 90 min, all safety gear is provided and you will have an instructor along side you the whole way. 

All sessions are run using intercom helmets for perfect communication and tuition by your instructor Dylan.
